Communities

Public Engagement

Building a Better Future Together

We connect research with society through accessible engagement, storytelling and participation. Through public events and outreach, BiOrbic aims to make the bioeconomy relevant, understandable and connected to everyday life, while supporting dialogue around climate, sustainability and circular systems.

Biobus Inside 6

The BioBus - Public Initiative

We are keen to learn from the public how we can support them to drive a sustainable, circular bioeconomy. That’s why in 2023 we coordinated a national campaign to have conversations with the Irish public in every county.

Gen Glas Airfield-2

Generation Glas - Youth Programme

Bringing together young people from across Ireland and supports them to become confident ambassadors for sustainability. Through an extended programme, participants connect with researchers, policymakers, and experts while building the knowledge and skills to represent their communities and drive change.
