Last week, BiOrbic’s Talent4BBI hosted its first official in person event for the Marie Curie Early Stage Researchers in UCD last week.
The ESRs took part in an immersive week of workshops and talks from BiOrbic researchers and staff, 7 of whom attended in person while 3 attended online from Ecuador, Colombia and India. The week started with a welcome from the Centre Director Prof Kevin O’Connor and programme manager Cathy Quinn and followed with many activities.
These included a Natural Capital workshop from Dr Cian White and Dr Fabio Delle Grazie, a Life Cycle Analysis workshop by Prof Nick Holden and Dr Fionnuala Murphy, a Career Development talk from UCD and Dr Tanja Narancic, an Education and Public Engagement Talk from Amanda Mathieson as well as individual research talks from each ESR. In addition, Alltech an Industry Partners on the project, hosted the ESRs at their European Headquarters in Dunboyne, Co Meath.
Thanks to all those who participated, facilitated and hosted the ESRs for the kick off Welcome Event and huge thanks so Cathy Quinn for organising!
