BiOrbic awarded SFI Discover Programme funding for “Generation Glas”

BiOrbic are delighted to have been awarded funding through the Science Foundation Ireland Discover Programme 2023.

The SFI Discover Programme aims to empower diversity inclusion in STEM through public engagement projects across Ireland. The awardees of the funding are to use the funding to build connections with less-represented voices, or with those who would not typically engage with STEM. This year BiOrbic has been awarded funding to build “Generation Glas”

Generation Glas is an initiative that draws talented young people from diverse backgrounds across Ireland and supports them in becoming ambassadors for sustainability. It gives them access to researchers, policymakers and other experts, educates them in the scientific and political contexts and trains them to become confident, creative communicators who can engage and represent their communities.

We are so excited to have been awarded this opportunity and looking forward to diving into creating this project!
