The Irish public are keenly aware of the need for a green transition and are eager to contribute. We can help them by providing the tools, resources and in-person support for citizens to take their own projects and ideas forward.

We partner with local groups and Tidy Towns to help with rubbish clean-ups and end these events with informative talks on how to manage waste better.

The Bioeconomy Map is an interactive exhibit packed with plenty of advice on how people can be more sustainable and circular in their daily lives.

Our annual week long festival invites all and supports public groups to contribute events and activities, raising awareness and making a positive impact.

BOG RESTORATION

Some of our researchers have worked with the Abbeyleix Bog Restoration project, aiming to conserve a 500 acre stretch of natural habitats in Co. Laois.

At the end of our slow fashion course, our students run social media campaigns, helping others take action to reduce the impacts of fast fashion.
