Making Food

It’s easy to take food for granted as we can always find it at our local supermarket.

But food is pretty hard to make. It takes water, fertiliser, sunlight, soil health and services from animals such as bees. The farmer has to plan, plant, maintain and harvest. All of this takes months.

Then the food is transported, packaged and stocked in our supermarkets using fuel and labour.

After all of this work, doesn’t it seem a shame if that food is left to rot?
