Using Food Waste

As well as compost and fertiliser there’s lots of other ways we can use food waste. 

Food waste that comes from farming and industry (the parts we don’t eat) can be made into all kinds of useful products, including fabric, supplements, fuel and even safer packaging to replace plastic!

Scientists are coming up with more and more ways to take the things we currently waste and make them into something useful!
