Zoe completed both a BSc in chemistry and a MSc by research in organometallic chemistry at University College Dublin. She has continued her studies in UCD and is currently a PhD student in the group of Dr. Xiangming Zhu where her work has pivoted to focus on carbohydrate chemistry. Her main research interests are the synthesis and use of sulfur-containing thioglycosides as glycosylating agents in the synthesis of oligosaccharides and glycoconjugates.
