Periklis is a PhD student in Dr. Marina Rubini’s research group at UCD. He obtained his BSc in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina in Greece and his MSc in Chemistry from the University of Bologna in Italy. He specializes in the design, synthesis, and characterization of peptides and peptidomimetics. His current project is focused on the development of novel synthetic methodologies for the fluorination of amino acids, on the semi-synthesis of fluorinated lipopeptides and on the assessment of their biological activity.
