Morgan graduated with a BSc in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology from UCD in 2017. He began his PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. Paul Evans in 2020 within the UCD Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology (CSCB). His project focuses on the use of lactose as a drug delivery system in the treatment of liver diseases. This work involves exploiting receptors which recognise lactose and are overexpressed in only certain parts of the body, bypassing some of the harmful side effects of current therapies.
