Manuel Bruch finished his M. Sc. Degree in Applied and Molecular Biotechnology at the RWTH Aachen University in 2020. Now he continues his scientific journey as a PhD student focussed on CO2 fixation and subsequent production of value-added products like precursors to bioplastics or biofuels. To achieve this goal, he is working with metabolic engineering and systems biotechnology methods. These include SDS-PAGE, fermentation on various scales, omix-analyses and bioinformatic skills such as flux analysis and further mathematical assays using MATLAB and Python.
