Khaled Alshwafy is a Talent4BBI PhD student at KULeuven, Belgium and Sappi company. He obtained his bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Tianjin university in China, He graduated from Erasmus Mundus program “ Bioceb” with triple master’s degrees: Microbiology and AgroSciences from Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Master of Science in Engineering from Tallinn University of Technology University, and master of bioengineering from University of Liege. He has experience in biorefinery, enzymatic extraction, pulp and fiber valorization and separation technologies. His current project is focused on Novel catalytic routes towards carbon efficient lignocellulose biorefineries.
