Jia-Lynn is a PhD student at the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Sciences, supervised by Dr Gerard Cagney and Dr Tanja Narancic. Broadly, her research interests include protein engineering and biocatalysis. Using bioinformatics and biochemical approaches, her PhD project aims to investigate the surface display of enzymes on biodegradable and biocompatible polyhydroxyalkanoate granules, with the goal of creating more efficient biocatalytic systems.
