She has an MSc in Environmental Policy, UCD where she was awarded the Convery Medal (2019) for outstanding academic achievement for her thesis exploring the implications of Brexit for environmental cooperation on the island of Ireland. Prior to this, Hannah spent four years in online journalism for a national newspaper, commissioning and writing online content on sustainable business issues and developments in the circular economy.

Hannah’s research exploring the influence of public policy on the development of a bio-based sector of the economy will identify potential barriers to market entry for bio-based products.
