Bioeconomy Research Symposium: Ireland 2022

December 6, 2022 - December 7, 2022

€135

BRSI 2022 is BiOrbic’s biggest early career researcher-led Symposium to be held in December 2022 in Dublin, Ireland. The Symposium will serve as a platform for PhDs, Postdocs, start-ups and industries in the sustainability and circular bio-economy area to present their work and learn about that of their peers. It will be an opportunity to exchange ideas, building networks and find potential collaborations.

The symposium has the ambition to gather researchers in the fields of:

  • Chemical Engineering and Bioprocesses
  • Microbial Biotechnology
  • Circular Bioplastics production
  • Behavioural Science/Environmental Psychology
  • Stewardship and Circular Economy consultancy
  • Human Ecology
  • Life Cycle Assessment
  • Policy Making
  • Systemic Thinking

The two-days event aims at highlighting positive benefits and holistic examples for a socially just and cooperative transition to a bioeconomy so to induce a transformative change in the wider society in the face of the climate change and finite resource challenge we are all facing. Whilst there is the opportunity to present your own work, feel free to also simply join as an attendee to learn about the current proceedings in the field. Similarly, even if you come from a different professional background but are interested in the concept, this event might be a good opportunity for you to learn more about advances in the area.
