Yesterday, BiOrbic researchers headed down to Mallow for Munster Science Fair! It was a hectic but fun day interacting with hundreds of families and discussing bio-based products. Upstairs, Hannah Gould gave a talk entitled ‘How will we live in 2050?’, exploring what the world would look like when our toilet paper comes from sour milk and our shoes are made with pineapple! Meanwhile, downstairs Nima Nejadrezaei and Mina Sadeghzadeh manned the BiOrbic stand where families could play guessing games, trying to match bio-based products with their unexpected sources! Joining our stand was Eve Savage and sons, representing MTU with some actual bio-based products that visitors could take a look at. All in all it was a great day where we interacted with over 300 people!
