Natália Silvério is a Ph.D. student in the School of Agriculture and Food Science at the University College Dublin (UCD). She holds a master’s degree in Knowledge Engineering and Management and a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering both awarded by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) which gave her the foundations to develop research on sustainability, knowledge sharing, environmental education, and nature conservation. She has more than 10 years of experience working on projects related to environmental issues in the public and private sectors giving her project management and environmental analysis experiences. Before joining UCD, Natalia worked as a manager on a project to subsidize the creation of a protected area in the south of Brazil, allowing her to engage the public in nature conservation.

Currently, Natalia is an Early-Stage Researcher (ESR) within Talent4BBi, an industry-led Ph.D. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme which aims to ‘train a cohort of 9 highly skilled industry-ready ESRs equipped to lead the future of the European bio-based industry sector’. Her research project is driven to affect change on farms for the benefit of farmers, their communities and the environment through the use of emerging knowledge and tools of the modern bioeconomy.
