Seán Douglas is the Industry Engagement Manager at BiOrbic. He has an MSc in ‘Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy’ from University College Dublin and completed his MSc research thesis on the topic of techno economic analysis of waste valorisation in the bioeconomy under the supervision of Dr. Fionnuala Murphy and Dr. Rosanna Kleemann.

Seán was a retail business owner for eight years prior to joining BiOrbic, and completed his BSc in Optometry at the Technological University Dublin. Seán also has a Diploma in Finance, and a Diploma in Business Management from the Irish Management Institute.

Seán is passionate about sustainability, business development and the intersection of technology, ecological resources and research breakthroughs to advance the Irish economy and society.
