BiOrbic is launching its Industry Collaboration Call for 2026, inviting expressions of interest from researchers and businesses to co-develop innovative bioeconomy solutions across Ireland’s agri-food, forestry, marine and biotechnology sectors.

What are the eligibility criteria for research projects?
  • Projects must align with at least one of BiOrbic’s challenges to advance the bioeconomy.
  • Projects must include an eligible researcher from a BiOrbic partner institution together with an eligible industry partner.
  • Priority will be given to joint applications from researchers and industry members who have already established a willingness to collaborate.
  • Researchers will automatically become affiliated with BiOrbic upon receiving funds. 
  • Projects must commence during the first half of 2027.
