Melanie is the Graduate Research and Training Coordinator at BiOrbic. She is responsible for coordinating the centre’s trainings activities and is the primary contact for all postgraduate researchers. She also manages the Centre for Doctoral Training Programme - Atoms to Products (A2P) in partnership with the University of Nottingham. Melanie holds an MRes in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Birmingham and brings with her a breadth of international experience in STEM career development as well as funded project management. In the past she has worked as a STEM career advisor were she delivered presentations and workshops for career orientation events to students at secondary schools.

In her previous role Melanie was involved in coordinating and implementing large European funded research and innovation projects in the field of healthcare innovation with partners from Europe, Asia and North America.
